Rules of the game for the “monthly” 50/50 electronic raffle

  1. The 50/50 raffles are managed by the Montfort Hospital Foundation (FHM).
  1. BUMP, a division of CBN, has been contracted for these raffles and provides online services. Tickets will be sold using an electronic raffle system provided by BUMP.
  1. Buyer must be 18 years or older to play.

  2. Tickets may NOT be purchased on behalf of a minor.
  1. Ticket purchasers must be located in the province of Ontario at the time of purchase.
  2. The valid ticket will serve as proof of purchase.

  3. Only valid tickets are eligible for the draw.

  4. No tax receipts will be issued for ticket purchases.
  5. Tickets will be available for purchase online at https://lotomontfort.ca/ or at the FHM office at 200-745-A chemin de Montréal, Ottawa, ON K1K 0T2
  • Draw #1: Ticket sales will begin at midnight on November 1 , 2023 and end at 4 p.m. on November 29, 2023. The draw will take place on November 30, 2023 at 10 a.m.

  • Draw #2: Ticket sales will begin at midnight on December 1 , 2023 and end at 4 p.m. on December 29, 2023. The draw will take place on December 30, 2023 at 10 a.m.
  • Draw #3: Ticket sales will begin at midnight on January 1 , 2024 and end at 4 p.m. on January 30, 2024. The draw will take place on January 31, 2024 at 10 a.m.
  • Draw #4: Ticket sales will begin at midnight on February 1 , 2024 and end at 4 p.m. on February 28, 2024. The draw will take place on February 29, 2024 at 10 a.m.
  • Draw #5: Ticket sales will begin at midnight on March 1, 2024 and end at 4 p.m. on March 28, 2024. The draw will take place on March 29, 2024 at 10 a.m.
  • Draw #6: Ticket sales will begin at midnight on April 1 , 2024 and end at 4 p.m. on April 29, 2024. The draw will take place on April 30, 2024 at 10 a.m.
  • Draw #7: Ticket sales will begin at midnight on May 1 , 2024 and end at 4 p.m. on May 30, 2024. The draw will take place on May 31, 2024 at 10 a.m.
  • Draw #8: Ticket sales will begin at midnight on June 1, 2024 and end at 4 p.m. on June 27, 2024. The draw will take place on June 28, 2024 at 10 a.m.
  • Draw #9: Ticket sales will begin at midnight on July 1, 2024 and end at 4 p.m. on July 30, 2024. The draw will take place on July 31, 2024 at 10 a.m.
  • Draw #10: Ticket sales will begin at midnight on August 1 , 2024 and end at 4 p.m. on August 29, 2024. The draw will take place on August 30, 2024 at 10 a.m.
  • Draw #11: Ticket sales will begin at midnight on September 1 , 2024 and end at 4 p.m. on September 29, 2024. The draw will take place on September 30, 2024 at 10 a.m.
  • Draw #12: Ticket sales will begin at midnight on October 1 , 2024 and end at 4 p.m. on October 30, 2024. The draw will take place on October 31, 2024 at 10 a.m.
  1. Tickets purchased in person will be issued by the same electronic raffle system provided by BUMP as the system used for online purchases. Ticket numbers will be randomly generated via this same system.

  2. Tickets will be sold as follows:
    • 5 tickets for $10
    • 45 tickets for $30
    • 150 tickets for $60
    • 300 tickets for $100
    1. After purchase, buyers will receive an email confirmation with their 50/50 numbers from the random selection system provider. No specific number can be given as the numbers are randomly generated.
    1. The following people, as well as their immediate families living at the same address, are not eligible to participate in the 50/50 draws: staff and members of the board of directors of the Montfort Foundation, as well as members of game providers approved providing services to this program.

    2. The draw prize amounts will be displayed on the raffle website: https://lotomontfort.ca/

    3. The draws will take place at the Montfort Foundation office, located at
      200-745A Montreal Road, Ottawa, Ontario, K1K 0T1.
    1. The winning ticket number will be selected by a random number generation (RNG) system from all raffle numbers sold for the drawing.
    1. Tickets purchased for a raffle will not be kept to be eligible for future drawings.

    2. The numbers of the winning tickets will be displayed online on the FHM website: www.fondationmontfort.ca and on the lottery page: lotomontfort.ca for a period of 1 year.

    3. The winner will be contacted by a member of the Montfort Foundation staff. This communication will include information on the procedure for claiming the prize.
    1. The winner can claim their prize by contacting the Montfort Foundation at 613-748-4920 or by email foundation@montfort.on.ca . The ticket must then be brought to the Montfort Foundation office, located at 200-745A, Montréal Road, Ottawa, Ontario, K1K 0T1, on a prearranged date and time, for verification. The winner must have the original winning ticket, no copies will be accepted. Once verification is completed and the winner has provided photo identification, they will receive a check for the declared prize amount, i.e. 50% of the total sales of this draw. All payments will be made by check.

    2. Winner must provide name, address and telephone number with valid photo identification in order to claim prize.
    1. If the winner cannot provide valid photo identification, the prize amount will be held until such identification can be provided.

    2. All winners must agree to their names and photos being used for advertising purposes by the Montfort Foundation. The winners agree not to request, at any time, additional compensation with respect to these advertising uses.

    1. The net profits from this lottery will be invested in the emerging priorities of Montfort Hospital.
    1. The holder of the winning ticket will have 6 months to claim their prize from the date of the draw for which their ticket was purchased.
    1. If no winner comes forward or if the prize is not claimed after this period of time, the prize will be given to a charitable organization other than the Montfort Foundation, with the approval of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of the Ontario (AGCO).

    2. Personal information is collected solely for the purpose of finalizing ticket sales, identifying ticket purchasers and providing information to purchasers about Montfort Hospital and Montfort Foundation news, draws and events. The information, in whole or in part, will not be communicated to parties not involved in the conduct of this raffle.
